We did a 2.46 mile easy hike at Griffith Park on Sat. Oct. 28 and the only challenging part…was finding parking! But everyone did it and got to the Ranger Station on time. We had ten enthusiastic participants total and everyone listened attentively as Leader Nancy covered the “ten essentials” before and during the hike — telling stories of people being short on water and such. Other folks chimed in with challenging hiking moments when other hikers they encountered didn’t have the essential supplies. We did the hike up and around the Old Zoo area in an hour and fifteen, and a shout-out to Jeff B. for being our sweep.
