The fires and heavy rains seem to be done for the season (fingers crossed) so we were able to get outside hiking again. And being in nature is a great way to get away from the stress of the modern (political) world.
We did a 7.75 mile hike with 1812′ of gain as we went from the Fire Station at the Mt. Lukens Road over to the Grizzly Flats area. We had perfect weather, warm and sunny but not too hot, with 8 hikers (and a cute doggie who had his own chauffeur since he’s blind).
Thank you leader Gail and co-leader Jen!
