One of my fav hikes, Mt. Hillyer! We all thought it would be chilly up in the San Gabriels, after all, this was the end of October, but after about 20 minutes on the trail, we had to take off layers.
Had a great turnout of ten gals, and we did BOTH peaks named Hillyer: the one the Sierra Club has recognized for years and then the one that’s a little further up the trail per the topo map.
We all traded stories about doggies, national parks and future dream destinations. But everyone loved the perfection of today’s dream hike.
