Item 1 – Website Updates
Tom and Jeff B. went through the Angeles Chapter webpage for GLS and glstracks.org to check that URLs were still valid, information still current, etc. They sent feedback to Jeff J. to review. They will also send feedback to Tammie and the rest of the Management Committee. The plan is to keep glstracks.org as the main web presence for GLS, but update the Angeles Chapter site appropriately and have it refer users to glstracks.org. A meeting will be scheduled to review suggested updates.
Item 2 – First Aid
GLS has been paying for leader first aid training for several years. Recently, the Angeles Chapter was bequeathed a sum of money with the stipulation that the funds must be used to support outings. To that end, the chapter may begin supporting first aid training from this fund.
Item 3 – CPR Training Caveat
Laura wants to make everyone aware that the Angeles Chapter does not accept online CPR training. This affects anyone who completes CPR training exclusively online but wants to use it to satisfy the CPR prerequisite for Wilderness First Aid.
Item 4 – Holiday Party Location Scouting
The holiday party will be scheduled on December 2, 2023. Jeff J. and Jeff B. will visit Stoneview Nature Center near Culver City to determine if it would be a possible location for our party.
Item 5 – Leader Certifications
Laura is going to try to run a monthly report to determine which leaders have certifications that will expire soon. This way, she can email these leaders to remind them of their status. Please make sure you have a current email on file so her email reaches you.
The next management committee meeting has not yet been scheduled.
