In 2027, GLS will celebrate its 40th anniversary as an activity section of the Sierra Club Angeles Chapter. Among other plans, we are planning to make T-shirts to celebrate, as we did in 2012 for our 25th anniversary.
Our 25th anniversary T-shirts were designed by Ginger Baker and were ready when we gathered at Harwood Lodge for a celebration weekend. We hope to spend another weekend at Harwood Lodge in 2027, and to have our 40th anniversary T-shirts available to wear then.
Your T-shirt design?
GLS friends are encouraged to submit designs for the 40th anniversary T-shirts before the holiday party December 5. Send to contact@glstracks.org, or bring a drawing or printout with you to the party. We’ll hang them up for people to look at and maybe pick a favorite right then.
You can use one of the custom printing websites that have tools to design T-shirts, such as this page at customink.com. It should make it relatively easy to make a picture like the T-shirt design picture below. If that kind of tool looks too difficult to use, you can just make a drawing.
The 25th anniversary T-shirts were grey. This time, the shirts can be any color.
The 25th anniversary T-shirts were printed in one color. The 40th anniversary T-shirts can have more colors. Aiming to keep the cost to $25 or less, that should allow printing in more colors. Some websites like customink.com have a tool that lets you estimate the cost of producing a T-shirt with your design.
